As the 2025–2026 academic year comes to a close, Wahaha International School (WIS) reflects on a year defined by curiosity, connection, and continuous growth. Throughout the year, our campus has remained a vibrant meeting point of cultures, ideas, and perspectives — where students were encouraged not only to acquire knowledge, but to question, explore, create, and take meaningful action.
六月盛夏，2025—2026学年缓缓落下帷幕。杭州娃哈哈外籍人员子女学校（WIS）也在这一年的探索与实践中，书写了一段关于成长、连接与卓越的校园故事。
这里，多元文化交融共生，课堂成为探索世界的起点；这里，好奇心被珍视，创造力被激发。一个个年轻的心灵，在探究中寻找答案，在行动中建立信念，在真实世界里逐渐成长为更加独立、自信且具有全球视野的学习者。
Looking back on the year, one of our greatest achievements has been witnessing the remarkable growth of student agency across all grade levels. At WIS, students are never simply receivers of knowledge — they are empowered as thinkers, creators, and problem-solvers who actively shape their own learning journeys.
回望这一年，我们最欣慰的，是见证每一个孩子身上不断生长的自主意识与领导力。在IB教育理念的支持下，学生们逐渐从知识的接受者，成长为主动发现问题、思考世界、创造价值的学习者。

IB Evaluation Visit
IB项目评估：在反思中持续精进
One of the defining milestones of this academic year was the IB PYP 5-Year Evaluation Visit. This important process provided an opportunity for our community to reflect on our educational practices, celebrate achievements, and identify new directions for continuous improvement.
今年最具里程碑意义的时刻之一，是IB PYP项目五年回访评估。
这不仅是一次对课程实践的专业审视，更是WIS不断回望初心、优化教育路径的重要契机。通过评估与交流，学校进一步明确了未来课程发展方向，也持续推动IB理念在校园中的深度实践。
Under the leadership of our PYP Coordinator, Ms. Reinette, WIS launched Coffee Morning — a new platform for meaningful home-school dialogue. Through conversations around the PYP framework, Chinese, Mathematics, EAL, CAL, and the PYP Exhibition, families gained deeper insight into how learning happens and how they can actively support their children’s growth.
在PYP协调员Ms. Reinette的引领下，WIS推出全新的家校沟通平台Coffee Morning。
从PYP探究理念，到中文、数学、EAL与CAL课程实践，再到如何陪伴孩子完成小学项目成果展（PYPX），Coffee Morning让家长从“了解课程”走向“参与成长”，成为连接家庭与学校的重要桥梁。

Deepening the IB Learning Experience
IB核心课程持续深化
Through Units of Inquiry (UOI) in PYP and Interdisciplinary Units (IDU) in MYP, students explored connections across subjects, developed interdisciplinary thinking, and learned to approach complex questions from multiple perspectives.
PYP学生在探究单元（UOI）中跨越学科边界，将知识连接真实世界；MYP学生则通过跨学科项目（IDU）整合多领域知识，逐渐形成分析复杂问题的能力。
Service as Action & Community Project
服务即行动：让学习产生真实影响
The MYP Service as Action framework became increasingly embedded into students’ daily learning. Through the Grade 9 Community Project, students investigated the stray cat population in Hangzhou, researched social issues, and designed practical solutions — transforming awareness into action.
在MYP阶段，“服务即行动”（Service as Action）进一步融入日常学习。九年级学生围绕“杭州流浪猫问题”开展长期社区项目，从调研问题、分析现状，到提出解决方案，让课堂知识真正回应现实世界。
Extension Courses & Electives
个性化发展路径持续拓展
With the updated Extension Courses system in PYP and the newly introduced Electives Program in MYP, students gained more opportunities to explore interests, discover passions, and develop unique strengths.
PYP延展课程体系与MYP选修课程的升级，为学生提供了更多探索兴趣、发展特长的空间，让每一种热爱都有生长的可能。

A Deeply Rooted Chinese Curriculum

At WIS, Chinese language and culture are more than academic subjects — they are an essential foundation for identity, confidence, and global understanding.
在WIS，中文与中国文化不仅是一门课程，更是一份连接身份认同、文化理解与世界视野的重要根基。
Through academic challenges such as the “Zhiyuan Cup” Debate and creative expressions through drama, students transformed language learning into critical thinking and cultural exploration.
通过“致远杯”辩论赛、戏剧展演等丰富实践，学生在语言学习中培养思辨能力，在文化体验中建立表达自信。
From Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations to the Chinese New Year Closing Ceremony, WIS students experienced traditions not only as observers, but as participants — carrying cultural confidence toward a global future.
从中秋节的诗意体验，到中国新年主题休业式的精彩呈现，传统文化在校园中被重新演绎。学生们在沉浸式体验中理解文化，也带着深厚的中国根基走向更广阔的世界。

Milestone Growth

Throughout the year, students demonstrated their growth through projects, exhibitions, and independent research — transforming curiosity into meaningful outcomes.
这一年，每一个项目成果，都是孩子成长轨迹的记录。从提出问题，到深入研究，再到创造解决方案，学生们用行动证明了自己的学习力量。
At the Science Fair and Art & Design Fair, students combined scientific inquiry with creative thinking, presenting projects that reflected both academic rigor and imagination.
科学展与艺术设计展中，学生们将科学探索与创意表达结合，用严谨的研究方法和大胆的设计思维呈现学年成果。
The PYP Exhibition marked a defining moment for our primary students. Facing real-world issues, they conducted in-depth research, took action, and shared their ideas with the community — demonstrating maturity, confidence, and a strong sense of responsibility.
作为小学阶段的重要学术里程碑，PYP成果展见证了孩子们从探究者走向行动者。他们关注真实世界的问题，开展深入研究，并通过实际行动推动改变，在舞台上展现属于自己的思考与力量。

Moments of Excellence and Honor
卓越时刻：每一次努力都被看见
WIS students continued to pursue excellence across diverse fields. This year, our students achieved outstanding results in competitions including the SPBCN Spelling Bee, Math Kangaroo, Global Chinese Writing Competition, and Chinese Language Festival.
过去一年，WIS学子在不同领域不断突破。从SPBCN英文拼词大会、袋鼠数学，到国际中文写作大赛与国际汉语节，孩子们在不同舞台上展现思维、语言与创造力。
The annual WIS Scholarship Awards, including the Executive Principal’s Scholarship, recognized students who demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, character, and commitment.
年度WIS奖学金表彰，包括最高荣誉执行校长奖学金，不仅认可学术卓越，也肯定学生在品格、责任感与持续努力上的成长。

Experiential Learning & Campus Culture
校园生活：让成长发生在每一天
At WIS, joyful learning is not an addition to education — it is an essential part of it.
在WIS，快乐并不是学习之外的附加项，而是孩子成长过程中不可或缺的力量。
Through Week Without Walls, MYP students extended learning beyond classrooms into nature and communities. Their journey to Mount Huang combined cultural exploration, environmental observation, and personal challenge.
“无墙周”（Week Without Walls）让学习走出教室。今年，MYP学生走进安徽黄山，在自然、人文与社会探索中拓展视野，也在挑战自我中培养坚韧与合作精神。
Across campus, moments such as Christmas Tree Lighting, Spirit Week, Sports Day, Music Talent Show, and International Day created opportunities for students to express themselves, celebrate diversity, and build meaningful connections.
从圣诞亮灯仪式到Spirit Week，从运动会、音乐达人秀到国际日大巡游，每一次校园活动都是孩子表达自我、连接彼此、感受多元文化的机会。
The 2025–2026 academic year was a journey shaped by curiosity, courage, and collaboration. Every achievement, every performance, and every project reflects the shared commitment of our students, teachers, and families.

From everyday learning moments to the successful IB Evaluation Visit, WIS continues to grow as a community where every child is encouraged to explore, create, and become the best version of themselves.
从日常课堂里的点滴探索，到IB评估中的专业认可，WIS始终相信：真正的教育，是陪伴孩子发现自己、拓展边界，并最终走向更广阔的世界。
