SJ’s Story
Mr. SJ is a dedicated and experienced Physical Education teacher with over 28 years of teaching at international schools in China, Indonesia and the Philippines. His extensive background in the PYP (Primary Years Programme) and MYP (Middle Years Programme) has equipped him with a deep understanding of student development and engagement through physical activity. Mr. SJ is a licensed teacher, first aid certified, and an accredited NAPFA fitness tester. An avid sports enthusiast, he enjoys playing various sports and has experience coaching basketball and volleyball teams. With a passion for promoting a healthy lifestyle, Mr.SJ inspires students to achieve their personal best in physical education and beyond.
As a Physical Education teacher, he believes that physical activity is vital for the overall development of students. He views education as a journey which promotes holistic development, fosters an inclusive environment, and cultivates lifelong skills. His focus in teaching is to create a positive and engaging learning space where all students feel included and are encouraged to pursue lifelong wellness through physical activity.
