Preparations Before the Start of School

Before the official start of school, WIS teachers kicked off the year with intensive preparations.
From New Staff Orientation and Family Day to the Grade 1 PTC, let’s take a behind-the-scenes look at these wonderful moments.

· New Staff Orientation & All Teacher Training

At the start of the brand new semester, WIS welcomed a group of energetic new teachers and conducted a systematic training program for them one week in advance.
From the principal’s presentation to interpreting the mission and vision, from team collaboration to teacher workshops—every teacher has been fully engaged with great enthusiasm, all in preparation to welcome every child back for the new semester with the most professional demeanor and the warmest smiles.

All WIS teachers, both new and returning, have returned to campus in advance to prepare for the new semester.

We also held our first All Teacher Training of the year, facing new challenges with high spirits.

· Grade 1 PTC

To help the new Grade 1 students integrate more quickly into the WIS family, we held a Grade 1 parents’ meeting on the afternoon before the school-wide Family Day.

Teachers introduced key topics including school adjustment, daily routines, and curriculum overview, while parents and teachers exchanged insights on student growth. The meeting effectively strengthened home-school communication, supporting our young learners as they smoothly embark on their PYP journey.

· Family Day

As a cherished tradition marking the start of each school year, Family Day arrived in high spirits.

Teachers welcomed students with enthusiasm, dressed in costumes representing different learning themes.

Afterward, students and parents joined classroom sessions to meet teachers and discuss plans for the year ahead.

This morning, under bright sunshine, the children’s radiant smiles once again lit up the entire campus.

In the school, led by their homeroom teachers, students are enthusiastically getting to know their new classmates, teachers, and classroom surroundings.

Inside the classrooms, young learners are excitedly sharing stories from their holiday travels, activities they joined, and the little moments they cherished over the break.

The first MYP morning meeting of the new school year has begun—familiar faces, long-missed warmth, and students are brimming with motivation.

Over the summer break, the campus quietly transformed with several upgrades and improvements. Most notably, we added three brand-new learning spaces: a Music room, an Art room, and a Makerspace.

Spacious and bright, these rooms are designed to spark inspiration and creativity, opening new pathways for our students’ artistic and innovative journeys.
