Established in 2015, Wahaha International School (WIS) is a non-profit, English-language immersion international school offering IB programs throughout Grade 1 to Grade 9.

杭州娃哈哈外籍人员子女学校（Wahaha International School，简称WIS）是2015年7月经浙江省教育厅批准成立的外籍人员子女学校，是一所非营利的，采用英语浸润式教学的国际学校，招收一到九年级的外籍学生。

Grade 1 marks the beginning of a child’s journey into academic exploration and holistic development. At Wahaha International School, we provide a nurturing and supportive learning environment that integrates the IB curriculum framework with innovative teaching methods, focusing on fostering curiosity, creativity, and confidence in every student.

With dual homeroom teachers (both international and local) and small class sizes, we ensure personalized attention for each child, encouraging them to explore the world, ask questions, and express their unique ideas.

At WlS, teachers use differentiated instruction, inquiry-based teaching, and contextual teaching approaches, while utilizing internal and external assessments to effectively adjust teaching methods to ensure the comprehensive development of students.

WIS offer a truly global student-centered curriculum that integrates worldwide standards and recognizes the diverse learning styles of our students. Our curriculum is complemented by the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum framework and is highlighted by the integration of traditional academic subjects with the most current methodologies and technologies so that every learner can meet their fullest potential on their path to becoming a global citizen.

In the PYP stage (Grades 1-5) , students have eight classes (seven academic classes and one well-being course) each day, with a focus on six main subject areas: Language acquisitions (English and Chinese), Mathematics, Sciences, Social Studies, Arts, and Physical, Social, and Personal Education.

在PYP阶段（一至五年级），学生每天有八节课（七节学术课程和一节身心健康课程），主要为语言（英文和中文）、数学、科学、社会学、艺术和个人、社交及体育这六大类学科。

Grade 1 is a critical stage for language development. At WIS, we provide an immersive English environment paired with a robust Chinese curriculum to build a strong linguistic foundation for our students. In Grade 1, students begin to build interpersonal relationships and teamwork skills, as well as discover their sense of self and explore their hobbies. By establishing a comprehensive student support system and organizing a variety of practical activities, WIS helps students develop empathy, independence and problem-solving skills, enabling them to grow healthily through interactions with their peers.
