Ellen’s Story
Ms. Ellen has been teaching Math and Science for nine years across the IB continuum — PYP, MYP, and DP. She holds QTS (UK), a Hawaii State Teaching License (Science 6–12), an Illinois Professional Educator License (Science 5–12), and multiple IB certifications. Beyond the classroom, she is a lifelong learner who earned a full-scholarship Master of Bioscience from Ghent University, followed by a Master in Globalization in Education. This interdisciplinary background gives her both subject depth and a broad view of education across cultures. As a mother of two, she believes education is rooted in love and that every child learns in their own way. Outside work, she loves to travel and read. For her, both are essential paths to understanding children and teaching more deeply.
