Students in the MYP Design classes designed a survey to create personalized lamps for teachers at WIS. The challenge was that they were not able to ask the teacher personal questions, so they had to collaborate and research to create a survey with enough inquiry questions to be able to design a personalized lamp for this teacher. Grades 6 & 7 have a specific design challenge whereas grade 8 has the problem of incorporating various materials to design something unique for their prospective teacher. The students do not know who the teachers is… and the teacher does not know who the student designing their lamp is till the reveal date.
