Zach’s Story

Zach O’Rourke, originally from the UK, brings his passion for education to Wahaha International School as an EAL teacher since March 2023. With a rich background in both teaching and residence in Hangzhou dating back to 2016, Zach looks forward to another fulfilling semester.

Zach’s academic journey led him to the University of Leeds, where he earned a BA in Politics & Social Policy. This academic foundation has contributed to his success in the classroom, where he fosters an environment of English language acquisition that extends beyond the traditional boundaries.

As an educator, Zach’s focus on inspiring students to conquer linguistic challenges while instilling a love for language learning is evident. His welcoming and supportive nature extends to both students and colleagues, making him a valued member of our educational community.

Outside of teaching, Zach’s interests are as diverse as his talents. An ardent football enthusiast, a dedicated reader of fiction, and a skilled guitarist, his creativity knows no limits.

With Zach’s enthusiasm for education and commitment to student growth, he’s a wonderful asset to the Wahaha International School community. We invite you to connect with him and share in the educational journey that lies ahead.
