In Grade 5, students wanted to find out about caring for their teeth while inquiring into Who We Are. From their research about teeth, they came up with many of their own questions that required the help of an expert in dental hygiene. This lead the class on a short walk to a nearby dental clinic. After an informative presentation from one of the dentists, students exercised their communication and research skills by using both English and Chinese to gain their new understanding of dental care. This jaw dropping experience has motivated all students into action by changing their habits regarding daily dental duties. Are you taking care of your teeth?
