At the end of March, students from grade 1B had started learning about how to be authors of their own nonfiction books. They later challenged themselves even further by researching topics on their own and writing about their learning. For two weeks, they worked hard to research and to write, and they were finally able to share their finished work on Friday, April 19. Parents visited our celebration with snacks, and the whole class spent some time reading the work of the different students and leaving encouraging comments for each other. It was a great way for the class to celebrate their hard work and to motivate each other to keep on trying our best!
