Intermediate: Following the successful completion of the stretching module, middle school students have been focusing on developing their upper and lower body strength. This has involved lots of push ups, planks, squats and a variety of physically demanding body-weight exercises.Students have also been developing games associated in relation to both upper and lower body exercises, to ensure they are continually working to improve their overall fitness.
Beginner: Having completed their fitness challenge, grade 4 & 5 students are now focusing on improving their form by breaking body-weight exercises into stages. This has involved the learning of different muscle groups and how they can be manipulated to improve performance. Elements of cooperative learning have also been involved, as students are observing each other perform the exercises and offer feedback on how to improve
