On March 18th the WIS Middle School joined with WBS 6th grade to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by taking part in a ceilidh. In Irish and Scottish culture a ceilidh is a gathering of friends and neighbors to meet, eat, listen to music and dance. Our students ate colcannon (Irish mashed potatoes) while learning the roots of the holiday and how it is celebrated around the world. Then the dancing began…
