Qiao Ye
MYP Science (G10) / Math & Science Special Event Coordinator
Ms. Ye grew up in China and went to Singapore for her high school and university studies with a full scholarship from the Singapore Ministry of Education. She earned her first-class honors degree in Material Science and Engineering from Nanyang Technological University and a Master of Chemical Engineering from the National University of Singapore. Over the past 10 years, Ms. Ye has taught mathematics, physics, chemistry, statistics, calculus in China, Singapore and Canada. She is very familiar with different international curricula including IB, A-level, and AP. As a pedagogical leader, she served as subject leader, IBDP coordinator, and international curriculum supervisor before. She's currently teaching Robotics & Programming to the PYP classes and teaching digital and product design to MYP Design classes. She also manages the WIS website, social media and assists in the marketing of the school.

Daniel Di

Mr. Daniel holds a master’s degree in English Literature and has experience teaching small-group English courses to both adults and K–12 learners, online and offline. He completed a one-year teaching internship at WIS and holds a Chinese Senior High School Teaching Certificate. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, and writing. Mr. Daniel believes in a student-centered approach to education, placing each learner’s needs, interests, and abilities at the core of lesson planning. He carefully tailors instructional tasks to suit students' developmental levels, using differentiated strategies to ensure that every student makes meaningful progress. In his classroom, Mr. Daniel strives to create an engaging and supportive environment that fosters curiosity, motivation, and active participation. Mr. Bright is a committed and enthusiastic educator with a strong background in Science. With over five years of teaching experience, he has worked with learners across diverse academic and cultural contexts in Zhejiang and Guangdong provinces, teaching Middle School Science and High School Physics. He holds a Master of Engineering, a Bachelor of Engineering and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education. Mr. Bright is passionate about creating engaging and inquiry-driven learning environments that foster curiosity, critical thinking and personal growth. Outside the classroom, he enjoys reading, football and hiking on weekends. He also values quality time with family and friends. Mr. Bright believes Science should be experienced, not just studied. His teaching philosophy is shaped by the idea that students learn best when they are curious, involved and trusted to take ownership of their learning. In the classroom, he uses real-world scenarios, experiments and discussion to encourage critical thinking and exploration. Tim McCauley

Mr. Tim has been teaching in middle schools for the past 18 years. After finishing his Masters, he worked in Australia for a year before returning to work in private schools in the United States. He was a Science Department Chair for nine years at an American boarding school where he was also a volleyball and tennis coach, and dorm parent. For the past three years he has been working at Wahaha's sister school the New England Innovation Academy as the founding science teacher and Director of the Middle School.

Ms. Alicia is from Zhejiang Province and has 6 years of experience in teaching Chinese. She graduated from Shanghai International Studies University with a Master’s degree in teaching Chinese as a Second Language. She has taught in the US, Peru, and Shanghai. She speaks Spanish, English and enjoys hiking, reading and playing the piano in her spare time.

Ms. Ilse Kotze is a qualified English teacher with experience of teaching students from diverse backgrounds. For her the most fulfilling part of teaching is that every class experience is unique whereby teachers and students can share opinions and learn from one another. I love learning from my students, as she believes that one is never too old or too young to learn something new. She has obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree (Summa Cum Laude), Bachelor of Psychology Honours degree and PGCE (Cum laude) from the University of the Western Cape in South Africa, majoring in English language, Communication Studies and Psychology.

Shen Zixuan(Eva) is a highly accomplished music teacher who graduated from the University of Oregon in the United States in 2019, majoring in music and psychology. With over ten years of experience studying music and vocal learning, Eva has a solid foundation in performance, singing, and music theory, and is especially skilled at teaching children's vocal performance. Having taught choir, musical performance, and ABRSM music theory courses, Eva has successfully tutored students of all ages and levels.

Reinette Roberts – PYP Coordinator at Wahaha International School Mrs. Reinette Roberts is an experienced international educator with nearly 20 years of teaching and leadership experience, specializing in the IB PYP (Primary Years Programme). As the PYP Coordinator at Wahaha International School, she is responsible for enhancing the curriculum, guiding teacher development, and overseeing program evaluation to create a high-quality inquiry-based learning environment. She holds a Bachelor of Education Honours degree in Educational Management, Policy, and Law from the University of Pretoria, along with a Higher Education Diploma in Pre- and Junior Primary Education. Mrs. Roberts has taught in the UK, South Africa, and China, and has led PYP teaching teams and curriculum reforms at one of Ningbo International Schools since 2018. She brings expertise in curriculum management, teacher training, interdisciplinary collaboration, and school policy development. Mr. Peter is an experienced educator and events manager with a Bachelor's degree in Music Technology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGCE). Over the past decade, he has taught music at international schools, fostering students’ musical growth and creativity in the classroom. He brings extensive musical experience from both within and beyond the classroom, including leading various musical projects and touring across Asia with several bands. In his spare time, Peter enjoys cooking, learning new instruments, travelling, and socialising with friends. Mr. Peter believes music allows students to express themselves, connect with others, and grow through discovery. He uses a student-centered approach, helping learners build critical and creative skills through performance, composition, improvisation, and listening.
